Our Classes
Drama and Arts Academy Summer Camp Ages: 7 years old-14 years old. 

School Kids

Day Program-The Performing Arts Initiative-Afterschool

Class times: Monday-Friday 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.  This program is geared to assisting children after regular school hours gain the skills needed to excel in the performing arts.  Classes include dance, acting, theater, and musical theater.  Many of our activities are both educational and help students gain skills that assist with life-long learning in academics and in different areas of the arts.

Saturday Arts Explosion

Class times: 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. All children will be exposed to various areas of the arts. The daily class offerings are also available on Saturday. Classes include dance, acting, theater, media, and visual and performing arts that stimulates the minds of youth and strengthen their mental and physical agility. Members of our dedicated team will educate youth with techniques that will expose them to multiple areas of the arts. Many of our arts programs are centered around theater and acting, which include instruction of stage direction, character analysis, and scene study. Moreover, our musical theater addition, includes techniques of vocal diction, breathing, and dance.

Teen Summit

Class times: Saturdays 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. All teens will be exposed to various areas of the arts such as dance, acting, theater, media, and visual and performing arts that stimulates the minds of youth and strengthen their mental and physical agility.

Weekly Class Offerings:

  • Dance Our dance classes consist of Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, and African dance. 

 

  • Acting Our acting class is a comprehensive and educational component that includes acting techniques, stage direction, character analysis, and scene study. 

 

  • Theater Our theater class is designed to increase the knowledge of students in the area of theater. Theater art is a combination of music composition, spoken dialog, dance, and acting. 

 

  • Media Our media class is designed to assist students interested in film, television, radio, and multiple media formats. Many parts of the class will consist of role play, public speaking, script reading, diction, and writing. 

 

Visual and Performing Arts Our visual arts class is designed to increase students’ knowledge of the history of art and music. The class will allow students to express their creativity in many variations of the arts
